About the Artist

Sheri Hoeger is an artist living on the Georgetown Divide in the woods of the Sierra Nevada foothills. As an internationally known leader in the decorative arts field, Sheri’s work was featured in many books and magazines throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Eventually, Sheri climbed down from the ladder to work in the studio, integrating a wide variety of materials and techniques into her fine art pieces. Sheri’s award winning paintings have been featured in shows throughout Northern California and beyond including the Haggin Museum in Stockton. She was honored by the El Dorado Arts Council for two consecutive years with their Creative Genius award for her work with public art projects.

Sheri’s work conveys a sense of wonder, along with a deep appreciation for nature and human connection that comes with a lifetime of learning and living creatively. Sheri welcomes commissioned artwork and especially enjoys painting animals and exploring relationships through capturing the exquisite moment of a touch of hands between people and rendering the special conversation musicians enjoy with the instruments they play. 

When she’s not painting, Sheri also enjoys playing bass and singing Americana music regularly with her husband Hugh, hiking with their two standard poodles and spending quality time with friends and family.
