Bio:

Sheri Hoeger is a prolific artist, a teacher, a singer, an entrepreneur, a student of observation. Armed with a high school education, a supportive husband and a childlike sense of wonder, Sheri launched her decorative arts business in 1988. After madly stenciling her own home, she had this crazy idea of painting walls for others with stencils she custom designed and hand-cut, using her airbrush for paint application. Sheri followed that creative dream after discussing it with her husband when he said "Do what makes you happy". 

Little did they know that decision would lead to hundreds of commissions, developing products for the decorative painting industry including over 250 original designs and an innovative custom product line, teaching workshops locally and across the US, having her work published in books and magazines, operating a decorative arts school with an international student base, hosting internationally acclaimed mural teachers, having Hugh join her full time in 1997, television appearances with Christopher Lowell and Carol DuVal, formally speaking to her peers at their annual convention in 2007, filming a series of instructional videos and becoming a global mentor on a popular decorative painting forum. 

Making the transition to fine art as her skills and interest developed, Sheri realized that her most satisfying work enabled her clients and students feel more connected to what they loved; the people, places, animals and things that made life meaningful. Creatively working through grief after suffering the loss of three siblings, Sheri gave herself permission to step back and integrate those life lessons that in turn brought new depth to her work. In 2015 Sheri began an ongoing series of paintings, A Touch of Hands, (16 and counting) that celebrate and explore relationships, executed with profound gratitude that she believes is at the core of resilience.
