That's a Wrap!

Being an artist doesn't just mean you only paint on canvas or sculpt or engage in whatever medium you like to work in. It means you look at the world in a different way, finding various avenues of expression and developing a unique esthetic. I love to paint, sing and write. Utilizing each of those vehicles satisfy a part of me that expresses best through it.

And then there’s the every day observations and tiny creations that I make on a regular basis just for the joy of it! One of my favorites is to use clippings from my garden to make little “bowquets” when wrapping gifts. I love the whole process, traipsing through my garden to see what’s in bloom and what foliage will work just right. For me it’s easier than trying to keep a container of bows from being squished.

Here’s my most recent one, a sweet good-luck gift for a lovely young friend who is traveling abroad to go to school.

Give it a try! It’s fun and your loved ones will be pleased.
